Working in technology for law firms in the 1990’s gave me a unique insight into how technology can transform industry and work practices.
Amazingly, some of the issues that occur with integrating new technologies are still a common pain point to this day!
When I moved into the education sector in 2000, I realised the importance of scaling back on abstract theoretical concepts and increasing practical skills. However, it is important to embed the underlying principles into the practical skills so that the learner has transferable skills. That is my constant quest when developing new curricula!
